For more than 20 years, Kepa Transport has been the leader of the James-Bay territory. The company has a fleet of more than 150 units with cutting edge technology that serves different cree communities on a daily basis, the Hydro Electric projects and other building sites of this vast territory.
Owned by the cree communities of Chisasibi and Wemindji, Kepa performs regular and reliable transportation and meets the growing needs of its clients. To do this, the fleet includes open trailers, B-Train, controlled-temperature, multi-temperature and dry-van services. This amalgam of products provides a competitive advantage and an added value.
Kepa acquired it’s nobility because of its fast and reliable service. Thereby, the company can count on experienced drivers who are concerned about offering quality service. With more than 100 employees, Kepa has developed over the years an expertise in the transportation field. "Our people are our strength and our customers, our reason for being", says Marie Bogelic, General Manager for Kepa Transport.
Always concerned about the quality of its service, Kepa expanded its distribution center of Val-d’Or in 2005 and has also expanded its mechanic maintenance building in 2007. The Kepa group also has two other transport divisions, Jacques Legault Transport who offers a service in Quebec and Ontario on a daily basis, as much in dry, multi or controlled-temperature and Eeyou, the latest of the group, offers open-trailer and B-Train services in the same provinces.
With an incomparable expertise in the transportation field in the northern areas and lately in western Canada, Kepa Transport plays a decisive role in the economic and social development of northern Quebec and is now one of the jewels of the new cree economy.
